Audrey Ferber's

stories have appeared in The Santa Clara Review, Walrus Magazine, and the anthologies Virtually Now, The Intricate Weave, and Eating Our Hearts Out. Her essays and book reviews have been published in The San Francisco Chronicle and The San Jose Mercury News. Her radio play, Ice Cream and Chicken Soup, was performed on Western Public Radio. She teaches at UC Extension and the University of San Francisco.

Karen Joy Fowler

is the author of The Jane Austen Book Club. After eleven years in Indiana she moved to Palo Alto, CA, where she had a child during the last year of her master's program at the University of California Berkeley. She took a creative writing class at the University of California Davis and began to publish science fiction stories. For the past 20 years she has written science fiction, fantasy and literary fiction.
